Visited my niece Alaina last night after swinging by the hospital to visit her new baby brother. Grandma (aka my mom) has been staying at the house as super – no. 1 – baby – sitter to help out. Poor Mom looked exhausted when I got there. She had told Alaina a half hour before I arrived that I was on my way, so Alaina decided to wait at the door for me to arrive. She insisted that Mom wait with her.
We talked, we danced to American Idol, we played with puzzles and stuffed animals, took a bath and then finally danced waltzes to sleepy-time music to close out the evening. OH…and she made me a snack in her toy kitchen.
GAH! SHE’S SO CUTE!
